the Trap and the Main Line should not be changed. Moving only the I nner or the Outer Conduct ors
by it self will effect t he Gap and the Not ch dept h.
To effect the Not ch Dept h Only, bot h sect ions will have t o be m oved. The Not ch Dept h is
cont rolled by t he Gap between the Cent er Conduct or and t he Trap Sect ion. This Gap also has an
effect on t he Cent er Frequency. To Deepen t he Not ch, Shorten the Outer Conduct or and pull the
Center Conduct or Out unt il t he Not ch is back in the sam e place. Move t he Sections in the
opposit e direction to m ake a Shallow Notch. N ote: The Trap Filter is t ypically adj ust ed for a notch
dept h of 10 dB.

After t uning has been com plet ed, t ight en the Clam p and the Allen Screws that hold t he
Conduct ors. Use the Fine Tuning Bolt s to bring the Frequency I n. The Final Tuning Adj ust m ent s
should be com plet ed wit h the Translator driving t he Output Trap Filt er for at least one hour to
allow for warm - up drift .
