3. Connect a Frequency Counter t o J1 and check for t he 50 kHz signal. Adj ust C17, if needed,
to att ain t he 50 kHz frequency. Rem ove the Jack on J5. DS2 the Unlock I ndicat or should
light. Replace the Jack ont o J5.
( Opt ional) ( A13) I F Filter/ Lim it er Board ( 1109- 1001)
1. Monitor the Aural Notch Test Out put of the board at J5 and m ove t he Jum per W1 on Jack J4
to between Pins 2 & 3, Test Posit ion. Adj ust C17 to t he Aural I F Frequency, t hen adj ust
R10 t o elim inat e or m inim ize t he Aural I F signal. Move t he Jum per W1 on Jack J4 back t o
bet ween Pins 1 & 2, Operate Position.
2. Monitor the I F CW Output of the board at J6 wit h an Oscilloscope and adj ust R12 and C21
for m axim um Video Signal or connect a Spect rum Analyzer, in Zero Span, to J6 and adj ust
R12 and C21 for Minim um Video Signal am plitude ripple on the displayed signal.
3. Adj ust R15 for + 3 dBm or Maxim u m out put level if + 3 dBm cannot be at t ained.
( Opt ional) ( A14) I F PLL Board (1109- 1002)
Check t hat the Red LED DS1, Unlock I ndicat or, located on t he board is not lit.
I f DS1 is lit, follow t he alignm ent procedure for sett ing up the VCXO Channel Oscillat or using R9 on
the I F PLL Board t o set up t he AFC Voltage for t he Frequency of t he VCXO. I f it is st ill lit , check
the 50 kHz reference out put of the ( A15) I F Carrier Oven Oscillator. I f needed, follow t he
alignm ent procedure for t he I F Carrier Oven Oscillat or Board.
( Opt ional) ( A16) I F Am plifier Board, High Gain (1197-1126)
This board cont ains no cust om er adj ust m ents. The am plified I F out put from the I F Filter/ ALC Board
connect s t o t he I F Filter Lim iter Board.
The Receiver Tray is now set up and ready for norm al operat ion.
