( A6) UHF Filt er ( 1007- 1101) , VHF LB Filter (1034-1211) or VHF HB Filter ( 2065- 1000)
This filter has been fact ory swept at the L.O. frequency and should not be t uned wit hout proper
equipm ent. The out put of the filter ( + 15 dBm ) is connect ed to J2 on (A10) the
Downconvert er/ Filt er Assem bly.
( A10- A1) Dow nconvert er/ Am plifier Board ( 1227- 1502)
Mount ed in: The (A10) Downconvert er/ Am plifier Assem bly (1227- 1505) .
The Mixer cont ains no adj ust m ents and has a L.O. input of approxim ately + 12 dBm in level applied
to J2 and a - 47 dBm t o - 2 dBm RF input applied t o J1. The out put I F level at J3 will be - 55 dBm to
- 10 dBm .
1. Connect a Spect rum Analyzer to t he Out put Jack J3 and adj ust L1, C2 and L3 for best
frequency response.
2. Adj ust C8 and R3 t o not ch out the Aural I F Frequency.
The I F output at J3 ( - 55 dBm to - 10 dBm ) is fed t o t he I F Filt er/ ALC Board. I f needed a 10 dB Pad
can be added to t he circuit by m oving the j um pers on J4 and J5 t o t he I n posit ion.
( A11- A1) I F Filt er/ ALC Board ( 1227-1504)
Mounted in: The (A11) I F Filter/ ALC Enclosure ( 1265-1105).
1. Check t hat Swit ch S1, located on t he I F Filt er/ ALC Board, is in the Aut o ALC and t hat t he
output of t he Board at J2 is approxim ately 0 dBm Out put , adjust R23 if needed.
( Opt ional) ( A11-A2) SAW Filter/ Am plifier Board (1035-1211)
Mounted in: The (A11) I F Filter/ ALC Enclosure ( 1265-1105).
This board is used for additional adjacent Channel rej ect ion only if needed and m ay not be part of
the Tray.
The board cont ains no tuning adjust m ents. The Jum pers W1 and W2 on J4 and J5 are placed for
At tenuator I n or At t enuator Out as needed to give the sam e output level at J2 as was at J1.
( A2) ± 12V Power Supply Board (1092- 1206)
This board cont ains no adj ust m ents.
N ote : I f the ( Opt ional) Frequency Correct or Kit is part of the t ray, perform the following
adj ust m ents. I f the Frequency Correct or Kit is not part of the tray, t he t ray is aligned and
ready for norm al operat ion.
( Opt ional) ( A15) I F Carrier Oscillat or Board ( 1100-1206)
1. Monitor J3 with a Spect rum Analyzer and observe the 38.9 MHz Visual I F signal at + 5 dBm .
2. Connect a Frequency Counter t o J2 on the board or to J9 on the Front Panel and adj ust C17
for 38.9 MHz.
