Software Configuration
The UniFi VoIP Phone X can be setup via three primary
methods:
• Auto-configuration by your service provider If your
phone was shipped to you by your ISP (Internet Service
Provider) or ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider),
follow the hardware installation instructions and the phone
should automatically configure itself when connected.
• Auto-configuration via DHCP Option 66 To automatically
configure UVPs on a Local Area Network, DHCP Option 66
can be used. Refer to: ubnt.link/dhcpoption66
• Configuration using a Ubiquiti Controller The UniFi
VoIP Phone X can be used with the UniFi Controller or the
UniFi VoIP Controller software. The phone is automatically
detected by the Controller software.
NOTE: Ensure that you are using the latest version of the
Controller software. Earlier versions will not detect the
UniFi VoIP Phone X.
