Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks™ airMAX™ 900 MHz 2x2 MIMO BaseStation Sector Antenna. This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through the installation of the antenna. This Quick Start Guide also includes the warranty terms and is for use with the airMAX Sector Antenna, model AM-9M13. Installation Requirements • Rocket™M900 (sold separately) • Two adjustable wrenches or a combination of two 19 mm, one 14 mm, and one 13 mm wrenches • One #2 Phillips screwdriver • Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded through the AC ground of the PoE. We recommend that you protect your networks from the most brutal environments and devastating ESD attacks with industrial‑grade shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti Networks.

2. Route an Ethernet cable through the hole on the Antenna Bottom Cover and connect it to the Ethernet Port.

3. Replace the Port Cover. 4. Attach the two Antenna RF Connectors to the connectors labeled Chain 0 and Chain 1 on the RocketM900. Place the RocketM900 in the bottom of the antenna.

5. To install the Antenna Bottom Cover: a. Insert the cover's tabs into the notches of the antenna bottom. b. Press the cover and snap it into place. c. Secure the cover to the bottom of the antenna using the M3x8 Tapping Screw. M3x8 Tapping Screw KS UBIQUITI NETWOR Antenna Bottom Cover 6. Wrap the Bushing around the Ethernet cable and then push it into place in the Antenna Bottom Cover.

. Attach the two U-Brackets to the two brackets on the antenna using the four M8x25 Bolts and four M8 Serrated Flange Nuts. To mount the antenna to the pole, you will attach the upper U-Bracket in step 9 and then attach the lower U-Bracket in step 10.

9. To attach the upper U-Bracket to the pole: a. Insert the two M12x180 Bolts into the upper U-Bracket. b. Secure each bolt using a M12 Serrated Flange Nut. c. Screw on two more M12 Serrated Flange Nuts. Slide a V-Bracket on the M12x180 Bolts. d. Position the antenna so that the pole is between the M12x180 Bolts. Slide a second V-Bracket on the M12x180 Bolts, so that the pole is between the V-Brackets. e. Secure the second V-Bracket using two M12 Serrated Flange Nuts.

10. To attach the lower U-Bracket to the pole: a. Insert the two M12x130 Bolts into the lower U-Bracket. b. Position the antenna so that the pole is between the M12x130 Bolts. Slide the V-Bracket on the M12x130 Bolts, so that the pole is between the U-Bracket and V-Bracket. c. Secure the V-Bracket using two M12 Serrated Flange Nuts.

11. To adjust the elevation angle of the antenna: a. Loosen the four M12 Serrated Flange Nuts securing the V-Brackets of the upper U-Bracket. b. Slide the V-Brackets to provide the desired tilt. c. Tighten all bolts and nuts to approximately 25 N-m (18 lb-ft) or less to avoid deforming the pole.
