Character Rotation or Bar Code Ratio, Define
Purpose: Defines the character rotation for human-readable fields, or the bar code
ratio for a bar code field.
Syntax: rn

Human-readable fields:
n = 0 horizontal
n = 1 90° counterclockwise
Bar code fields, ratios of wide
element to narrow element:
n = 0 2.5 to 1
n = 1 3.0 to 1
n = 2 2.0 to 1
If the bar code
width is odd and
you select r0, the
printer substitutes
r1.
The narrow
elements of this
code are always at
least 3 dots,
therefore select a
width of w = 1 to
have the shortest
symbol.
