in small quantities, this test seeks to mimic multiple uses
of the cleaner against the test surface by submerging a
piece of the test material in the test substance.

Technology like computers, tablets, and cellphones have infiltrated the patient care space
and harbor germs. Bacteria and viruses hiding on these surfaces can negate even the

Disinfectants and sanitizers contain active ingredients that may cause wear and damage
to certain types of materials such as plastics, rubbers, or metals. Thus, to offer solutions
in this space, UAG put SCOUT, PLYO, and PLASMA series to the test — a 168 hr test.
TESTING
The testing study is conducted over the course of
168 hours to simulate more delivery cycles of the cleaner.
Compatibility is assessed by calculating the change in mass of a material before and after
exposure to the test substance. Aesthetic changes are also recorded as these often denote
a chemical reaction of the test substance with the material.
