Bypass kit for manual control of water flow around solar heating/solar panel system. Suitable for use with all types
of solar heating systems.
A Bypass kit allows water to bypass the solar heating system when there is no need for heating. A Bypass kit is also
beneficial if you need to allow water to bypass the solar heating system at night rounder poor or very cloudy
weather conditions. Under such conditions, the temperature of the water will fall, when it is passing through the
solar heater. The Bypass kit contains everything you need to make a parallel connection from the solar heating
system to bypass the pool water return pipe.
The kit contains the following:
1. 1 x 3-way valve
2. 1 x T-joint/connector
3. 3 x hose adaptors
4. 6 x hose clamps
5. Teflon tape
(Hose not supplied)
You will need a length of hose corresponding to the number of solar heaters in your system. E.g. Swim & Fun article
no. 1542.
Fitting to an existing pool hose
Connect the 3-way valve a) to the existing hose which conducts water from the pump to the solar heating system
and b) to the new hose (3 x hose adaptors are included). Connect the T-joint to a) the existing hose which conducts
water from the solar heating system to the pool and b) to the new hose. Seal all hose joints with Teflon tape and
secure with hose clamps (supplied).
