Risk categories
The safety notes in this manual are grouped into different risk
categories. The table below shows which risk and possible
consequences the symbol (pictograph) and the signal words
indicate.
Table 2-1: Risk categories
Pictograph Signal word Definition
DANGER!
Indicates an immediately dangerous
situation that will result in death or very
serious injuries if the safety rules are
not observed.
WARNING!
Indicates a possibly dangerous
situation that can result in serious
injuries or major material damage if the
safety rules are not observed.
CAUTION!
Indicates a possibly dangerous
situation that might result in material
damage if the safety rules are not
observed.
