boardislikelybad.Ifit’shigh,about24VDCthentheCCMmaybebad,nottellingthecontactortoturn
on.
4. Theinvertersectionmaybedefectivewithabadbiassupply.Swaptheinverterendoftheribboncable
with one next to it.
a. Ifitnowreportsadifferentcode,thatoftheinverterthatwasswappedwith,thentheoriginalsection
is bad.
b. IfitstillreportsthesamesectioneventhoughtheribboncablewasswappedthentheCCMisbad.
271 Inverter ID Reading Fault.
Refer to section for codes 225-230 for a description of the ID signals. If this code appears it means one of these
ID signals has gone false some time after power up.
Possible causes:
• Anintermittentribboncableoronenotfullylatchedinplace.
• EMIinterference.
Troubleshooting:
1. First recycle power to see if the fault is still there. It may now show up as one of the 225-230 codes which
willindicatewhichinverter.
2. Determinewhenthecodeshowsup.IfitisEMIitmaynothappeneverytimebutif,whenithappens,itis
always at the beginning of piloting, it may be EMI interference. Check the system ground cables and if an
AC200XT check the torch shield connection to the unit rear panel.
3. If it happens intermittently during cutting or idling it might be an intermittent ribbon cable. This code does
notsaywhichinvertersectionsoyouhavetocheckeachribboncableforproperconnectiononeachend.It’s
highlyunlikelyforaribboncabletobeintermittentbutifyouhavemorethan2sectionstrydisconnecting
onesectionatatimeandcutatlowercurrent.Seeifyoundonethatcausestheproblemandifsoreplace
that ribbon cable.

301 Gas Control Communication Fault
Nosignaldetectedovertheber-opticlinkfromthegascontrol.Inthecasewherethereareadditionaldevices
otherthanGasControlconnectedtotheCANBUSthiscodewouldindicatetheGasControlishavingcommu-
nicationproblemswhiletheotherCANBUSdevicesareOK.Wedon’tcurrentlyhaveanyotherdevicesonthe
CANBUS so it is more likely that code 501 will be what is set. In any case troubleshooting is the same as for 501.
Possible cause:
• Mostlikelycauseisdirtyordefectiveber-opticcableorconnector.
• CabletoGCM2010,DMCorDPCnotconnectedorbroken.
• DefectivecontrolboardorpowersupplyintheGasControl
• DefectiveCCM
