X42 Transmitter Controls Pair Button See page 7 for pairing instructions. Digital Input LED Lit when a digital input signal is detected. When this LED is ON, the transmitter’s analog input is turned off. Surround Angles Button Surround On/Off Button Press to cycle through 6 different surround sound angles. Press to toggle on/off surround sound processing. Dolby Digital LED Power/Link LED Lit when a Dolby Digital encoded signal is detected. On solid: Transmitter is paired to headset.

Pairing the Headset to the Transmitter In order to play audio, the X42 headset must be "paired" (linked) to its transmitter. The headset and transmitter are paired out of the box. The instructions below are only necessary if pairing appears to have been lost. IMPORTANT! 2 feet  Maintain a distance of at least 2 feet between the headset and transmitter when pairing. Step 1: Headset should be powered OFF. (Hold Power button for 3 seconds.

Xbox 360 Configuration Press the silver Xbox Guide button on your Xbox 360 controller. Go to Settings > System Settings > Console Settings > Audio > Digital Output. Set Digital Output to “Dolby Digital 5.1”. Press the silver Xbox Guide button on your Xbox 360 controller. Go to Settings > Preferences > Voice. Set Voice Volume to “10”. Set Game Volume to “10”. Set Voice Output to “Play Through Headset”.
