Instructions for retrofitting an 089 Combo Lock to a Tuffy Product with
a Cam Lock
Attention: For instructions on setting the combination, search “089 - COMBINATION LOCK FOR CAMLOCK

1. Remove the cam lock that will be replaced by the 089 Combo Lock.
Note: The turn handle on the 089 Combo Lock indicates that it rotates clockwise to open; standard
Tuffy cam locks open counterclockwise. Thus the combo lock will open when the handle is turned
counterclockwise, the opposite of what is shown on the turn handle. This does not effect the internal
operation or security of the combo lock; it operates the same either way.
2. The 089 Combo Lock can be installed to either the left or the right of the cam lock hole as seen
from above, it will function the same either way. You will have to orient the cam and cam stop
washer correctly depending on which side of the cam lock hole you decide to install the 089
Combo Lock.
3. Once you have decided on the proper orientation, install the cam and stop washer in the right
orientation for you installation and test the function of the lock in your box.
4. Use the template shown in Figure1 to locate and drill the 4x .0169 holes.
5. Install the 089 Combo Lock using the (4) supplied torx mounting screws.
