Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Firefighters should always wear positive pressure self-contained breathing
apparatus and full protective clothing. Cool fire-exposed containers with water. Use shielding to protect against
bursting cans.
6: Accidental Release Measures
Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment, and Emergency Procedures: Eliminate all sources of ignition.
Ventilate area with explosion proof equipment. Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment.
Methods and Materials for Containment and Clean-Up: Place leaking can in a pail in a well-ventilated area away
from ignition sources until pressure has dissipated. Collect liquid using inert material and place into a suitable
container for disposal. Rinse area with water.
Environmental Precautions: Prevent entry into storm sewers and waterways. Report spill as required by local and
national regulations.
7. Handling and Storage
Precautions for Safe Handling: Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash
thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Keep containers closed when not in use. Keep out of the reach of
children. Do not puncture or incinerate containers.
Conditions for Safe Storage, Including any Incompatibilities: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from
incompatible materials. Do not store in direct sunlight or above 120°F. U.F.C. (NFPA 30B) Level 1 Aerosol.
