U.S. V-Chip Movie Ratings
Set movie rating limits by blocking movies rated above a
specied level. To access the Movie Rating Limit Menu,
follow these steps:
1. Press to select V-Chip in the Parental Menu, then
press enter next screen.
2. Press to select US V-Chip, then press to enter
next screen.
3. Press to select U.S. Movie Ratings, then press .
4. Use to select the desired rating, then press OK
repeatedly to switch between (View) and (Block).
Blocking Canada V-Chip Ratings
If you receive Canadian programs, you can block Canadian
English and French V-Chip by ratings only. When you block
a particular rating, you automatically block the higher-rated
programs as well. To block Canadian English and French
program ratings, follow these steps:
1. Press to select V-Chip in the Parental Menu, then
press enter next screen.
2. Press to select Canada V-Chip, then press to
enter next screen.
3. Press to select Canadian Enlish Ratings or
Canadian French Ratings, then press .
4. Use to select the desired rating, then press OK
repeatedly to switch between (View) and (Block).
Open V-Chip- allows you to select the downloadable
rating level.

U.S. V-Chip TV Ratings
Blocking Age-Based Ratings
You can automatically block all program ratings above a
specied age-based rating level.
1. Press to select V-Chip in the Parental menu, then
press to enter next screen.
2. Press to select US V-Chip, then press to
enter next screen.
3. U.S. TV Ratings is highlighted, press .
4. Use / to select the desired rating, then press OK
repeatedly to switch between (View) and (Block).
Blocking Specic Content Themes
• As for TV-MA, TV-14, TV-PG, or TV-Y7, you can
further set the sub ratings to block specic contents of
programming. To set the sub ratings, follow the step
below.
• Use / to select the desired rating, then press
OK repeatedly to switch between (View) and (Block).
