6. SPECIFICATION OF INPUTS AND OUTPUTS
6.10.2 Functional description
The RS-232 interface is a RS-232 compatible asynchronous full duplex serial interface. No handshake
lines (like RTS or CTS) are provided.

Note that a proper ground connection is necessary for the RS-232 operation. It is recommended to use
the RS-232 GND pin for this purpose. When connecting with an external device (for example, a PC with
RS-232 interface) make sure that the maximum voltage ratings are not violated.
