STUD INSTALLATION
Place Pak Tool #3 firmly into threaded end of cylinder ram. (FIG C)
(Note: Pak Tool #4 is not used to install studs.)
It is recommended that you apply an anti-cease or lubricant on the shoulder of
the stud. Put new stud in position to be pressed in Hub. Position Cylinder Frame
and adapter over the new Stud on Hub. Apply hydraulic pressure using the Foot
Pedal on Pump. When Pak Tool #3 comes into contact with Hub, much of the
stud will be inside Pak Tool #3.
Carefully align PAK-PRESS unit and adapters with new stud prior to
applying pressure from hydraulic pump.
PILOTED HUBS
Pak Press unit can remove and install studs on Piloted Hubs using Pak Tool #3
and Pak Tool #5 together. Follow same Stud Removal and Stud Installation
instructions as listed above.
