10. Double-click on your dial-up connection icon to connect to the Internet.
11. Fill in your user name and password that your received from your Internet
Service Provider. You can now dial up by clicking on ‘Connect’.
12. A new icon will appear in the right-hand corner of your taskbar when you
have successfully connected to the Internet. If you double-click on this icon, a
window will appear in which you can disconnect from the Internet or interrupt
the 2
nd
line and then reactivate it again.
Note: If you wish to use both of the ISDN Modem’s ISDN lines, check
whether your Internet Provider supports the multilink PPP
connection.
You can now use this ‘Dial-up’ connection for Internet programs, such as Internet
Explorer, and e-mail programs, such as Outlook Express.
5.2 Indicators
The ISDN USB Modem has a number of different indicators (see figure 2). These
can be used to see whether the modem has made a connection. The meaning of
these indicators is given in the table below:

B2 Starts to flash as soon as there is a 128k connection
(double line). Indicator B1 will also flash.
B
B1 Starts to flash as soon as there is a 64k connection
(single line).
C
ISDN Is lit when the modem is connected to the ISDN
network (ID channel is active).
D
USB Is lit when the modem is connected to your
computer’s USB port.
Note: The ISDN indicator (C) turns itself off if the modem has not been
used for a couple of minutes.
5.3 RVS-COM Lite application
An ISDN communication program may also be supplied with the Trust Mini ISDN
Modem. This program allows you to, for example, send faxes with a speed of 14400
bps or send files with a speed of 2400 bps to an analogue modem.
The installation is started automatically when the 'RVS-COM' CD-ROM is inserted
into your CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If the RVS-COM installation program does not start automatically
when the CD-ROM is inserted into your CD-ROM drive, click on
‘Start – Run’ in Windows. Type [D:\Setup.exe] in the command
line and click on ‘OK’ to start the installation program.
You may be asked for a code (key). This can be found either on the rear of the CD-
ROM jewel case or on a separate card, depending on the RVS-COM version.
