6. The driver will be found. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

Two components will be installed:

- Trust Mini USB ISDN Modem

- Trust NDIS WAN Miniport Adapter (not visible in Windows 98 or Windows

ME)

7. Restart your system after the driver has been installed.

8. Connect the ISDN telephone cable provided to the ISDN telephone

connection on the modem.

9. Connect the other end of the ISDN telephone cable to your ISDN telephone

socket.

3.3 Installing the Trust ISDN Utility

Follow the instructions below to install the Trust ISDN Utility application on your

computer.

1. Start Windows.

2. Insert the CD-ROM containing the driver and applications into your CD-ROM

drive.

3. The Trust Software Installer will start automatically. If it does not start

automatically, click on ‘Start - Run’. Type [D:\Setup.exe] in the command line

and click on ‘OK’ (see figure 1).

Note: The language selection menu in the left-hand window is used for

selecting the language you wish to use to display the Trust

Software Installer.

4. Click on ‘TRUST ISDN UTILITY V3.27’ to start the installation for this

application.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

4 Checking after the installation

After installing the device and the driver, the following are installed on your computer

and can be checked:

‘Start - Settings - Control Panel’. Double-click on the ‘System’ icon and select the

‘Device Manager’ tab.

- Network Adapters - Trust Mini USB ISDN Modem

- Network Adapters - Trust NDIS WAN Miniport Adapter

‘Start - Settings - Control Panel’ and then double-click on the ‘Add/Remove

Programs’ icon.

- Trust ISDN Utility

‘Start - Programs - Trust - ISDN Utility’

- ‘Configuration’ icon: application for configuring various ISDN settings

- ‘Diagnostics’ icon: application for testing the Mini USB ISDN Modem

- ‘ISDN Status’ icon: application for checking the activity of the ISDN lines

- ‘Uninstall DRV & UTL’ icon: application for removing the Trust ISDN Utility driver.

Note: The information given above will vary when the installation has been

altered by the user (for example, not everything has been installed or

locations other than the default locations have been selected).

Note: Deviations may also occur as a result of using new drivers available on

the Internet.
