thermore, turn off the automatic circuit breaker and the earth leakage
circuit breaker to disconnect all the poles from the mains voltage.
Secure it against unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a warning sign.
• Check to make sure there is no voltage with a suitable measuring instru-
ment (e.g., a digital multimeter).
• Never connect the product to the power supply immediately after it has
been transferred from a cold room into a warm one (e.g., during trans-
port). The condensation that forms might destroy the device. Moreover,
there is danger of electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature. Wait until the condensation
has evaporated. This might take several hours. Only after this, should it
be installed, connected to the mains supply and put into use.
• Do not use the product in rooms with adverse environmental conditions,
where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There
is a danger of explosion!
• Do not exceed the max. connection load (see the chapter “Technical
data”).
c) Handling, operation
• Use the product only when it is rmly and steadily mounted.
• The product must only be operated when it is installed into a suitable
enclosure that protects against accidental contact.
• Use the product only in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged. There is a risk of a life-threaten-
ing electric shock!
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the product
must be turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally. Do not touch the product.
First switch off the mains voltage to all poles (switch off the connected cir-
cuit breaker or remove the fuse and then switch off the connected RCD).
• After this, arrange for a skilled electrician to check the product.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or well (ickering light, leaking smoke
or a smell of burning, the light ickers, audible cracking noises, discol-
ouration to the product or the adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
Putting into operation and use
It is important that you read these operating instructions, including the
safety instructions thoroughly and carefully before rst use. If in doubt, let
a specialist do the installation and connection.
Only connect boards when they are disconnected from voltage/current.
Otherwise, there is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
a) Connecting the LEDs
Connect the respective optional LEDs to the two soldering pins A (anode) and K
(cathode). Refer to the following sketch for the polarity of the LEDs.
b) Installation
Observe the valid regulations during installation (touch protection) and the safety
notices in these operating instructions. The assembly group, the connection leads
and the LED must be installed in a casing protected from accidental touching.
c) Connecting the mains voltage
Connect the mains voltage leads to the two clamps “AC IN 230V” with the arrow
marking (—>). Ensure a tight connection. Close the casing and turn on the voltage
supply.
Care and cleaning
Before you start working on the module, disconnect the mains cable from
voltage/current.
• The control circuit board is maintenance-free. However, check the connection
leads for damage from time to time.
• Only an authorised expert may perform repairs.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Clean the product with a dry, ber-free cloth.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in
the household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product
according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of
the environment.
