ResistorsarelocatedinaV‐shapedmetaltrough.RD:applyingMaxoverloadvoltageforoneminute(RDN:
applyingMaxWorkingVoltageforoneminute)andshouldfindnophysicaldamagetotheresistors.The
resistancevaluechangeshallbewithin±0.5%.
7.6. LoadLife:
Theresistorsarrayedaresentintothe70°Coven,applyingratedvoltageatthecycleof1.5hoursON,0.5hour
OFFfor1000hoursintotal.Then,afterremovingthevoltage,taketheresistorsoutoftheovenandleftunder
normaltemp.foronehourcooling.Theresistancevaluechangeratebetweenpre‐and‐posttestshallbe
within±5%.
7.7. Moisture‐proofLoadLife:
Theresistorsarrayedareplacedintoaconstanttemp./humidityovenatthetemp.of40±2°Candthe
humidityof90~95%,thenratedpowerisappliedfor1.5hoursandcutofffor0.5hour.Thesimilarcyclewill
berepeatedfor500hoursintotal(includingcut‐offtime).Thenremovethevoltage,takingtheresistorsoutof
theovenandleavingthematroomtemp.foronehour.Theresistancevaluechangeratebetweenpre‐and‐
posttestshallbewithin±5%.Therealsoshallbenoevidenceofremarkablechangeonappearance,andthe
markingshallnotbeillegible.
7.8. Solder‐ability:
Theleadswithfluxaredippedinameltedsolderof235±5°Cfor2seconds,morethan95%ofthe
circumferenceoftheleadwiresshallbecoveredwithsolder.
7.9. ResistancetoSolderingHeat:
Twoleadsaretogetherdippedinameltedsolderof270±5°Cfor10±1seconds,or350±10°Cfor3.5±0.5
seconds,thenremovetheresistorsandleavingthematroomtemp.foronehour.Theresistancevaluechange
ratebetweenpre‐and‐posttestshallbewithin±1%.
7.10. lncombustibility:(onlyforRDN)
Theresistorsareappliedthepowerof16timestheratedwattagefor5min.andshallnotgetflame.
