STARTING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Operate this unit only in a well-
ventilated area outdoors. Carbon monoxide
exhaust fumes Can be lethal in a confined area.

WARNING: Avoid accidental Starting. Be in
the starting position when pulling the starter
rope (Fig. 5). The operator and unit must be
in a stable position while starting to avoid
serious personal injury.

Add-On being used is installed correctly and
secure before starting unit.
1. Mix gas with oil. Fill fuel tank with fuel/oil mixture.
See Oil and Fuel Mixing Instructions.
2. Put or verify the On/Off Stop Control is in the ON (I)
position (Fig. 3).
3. Fully press and release the primer bulb 7 to 9 times,
slowly, until FUEL IS VISIBLE IN THE PRIMER
BULB (Fig. 4). If you can't see fuel in the bulb, press
and release the bulb three (3) additional times, or as
many times as it takes before you can see fuel in it.
4. Push the EZ-Start rMLever to the left until it clicks and
locks into place. (Fig. 4).
5. With the unit in the starting position (Fig. 5). DO NOT
SQUEEZE THE THROTTLE CONTROL. Pull the
starter rope briskly 5 times with the EZ-Start TM lever
pushed to the left. If the engine starts to run before
the fifth pull, proceed to step 6.
NOTE: When starting, the EZ-Start TM Lever will
automatically click off when you squeeze the
throttle control.
6. Squeeze the throttle control to warm up the engine
for 5 to 10 seconds. Ez-Start TM Lever will click off
automatically (Fig. 4).
NOTE: If the engine stalls while squeezing the trigger, go
back to step 5.
STOPPING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Release your hand from the throttle control (Fig. 5).
Allow the engine to cool down by idling.
2. Push and hold the On/Off Stop Control in the OFF (O)
position of 3 seconds or until the engine stops
running (Fig. 3).
