greaseto the hex shaft,SeeFigure8,

coattheaxleswitha multipurposeautomotivegrease
beforereinstallingwheels,
Chute Directional Control
Oncea season,theioystickshouldbe lubrbatedwith
petrobumielly,linseedoil, mineraloil, paraffinwaxor
3-in-1oil,
Auger Shaft
At leastonce a season,removethe shearpinson auger
shaft,Spraylubricantinsideshaft,aroundthespacers,
ABelubricatethe flangebearingsfoundat eitherend of
the shaft,SeeFigure9,
Gear Case
The augergearcasehas beenfilled withgreaseat the
factory,If disassembledfor anyreason,lubricatewith
twoouncesof grease(PartNumber737_0168),
On modelsequippedwitha greasefitting,usea grease
gunto lubrbatethe augergearcase,
NOTE: Donot overfillthe gearcase, Damageto the
sealscould resuL Besurethe ventplugis freeof
greaseinorderto relievepressure,
Shave P_ate and Skid Shoes
The shaveplateandskid shoesonthe bottomof the
snowthroweraresubiectto wear,Theyshouldbe
checkedperiodicallyandreplacedwhennecessary,
To removeskidshoes:
1, Removethefour carriageboltsandhexflangenuts
whichsecurethemto the snowthrower,
2, Reassemblenewskidshoeswiththefour carriage
bolts(twooneach side)andhexflangenuts, Refer
to Figure10,
To removeshaveplate:
1, Removethecarriageboltsand hexnutswhich
attachit to the snowthrowerhousing,
