Please observe the instructions in the operating manual
• The basic prerequisite for the safe handling and trouble-free opera-
tion of this dehumidifier is knowledge of the fundamental safety in-
structions and safety regulations.
• This operating manual contains the most important instructions re-
quired in order to operate the dehumidifier safely.
• This operating manual and in particular the safety instructions are to
be observed by everyone who works with the dehumidifier.
• In addition, the rules and regulations for accident prevention apply-
ing to the place of use are to be observed.
Obligations of the user
It is the user’s duty to only allow work on the dehumidifier to be
carried out by persons who:
• are familiar with the fundamental regulations governing work
health and safety and the prevention of accidents and have been
instructed on how to handle the dehumidifier.
• have read and understood the chapter on safety and the warning
notices in this operating manual and have confirmed having done
so with their signature.
• Check the safety-conscious work methods of the personnel at re-
gular intervals.
Obligations of the personnel
All persons assigned to work on the dehumidifier are obliged, before
starting work:
• to observe fundamental regulations on work health and safety and
the prevention of accidents.
• to read the chapter on safety and the warning notices in this ope-
rating manual and to confirm with their signature that they have
understood them.
Dangers associated with handling the dehumidifier
The dehumidifier has been built in accordance with the state of the
art and recognised technical rules. The dehumidifier is only to be
used:
• for its intended purpose
• if it is in perfect working order. Faults that could prejudice safety
are to be repaired immediately.
Use for the intended purpose
The dehumidifier is intended exclusively for the dehumidification of
atmospheric air. Any other use shall be construed as being inapprop-
riate. Trotec GmbH will accept no liability for damage caused by such
use. Use for the intended purpose includes:
• following all instructions in the operating manual and
• carrying out the prescribed inspection and maintenance work.
Warranty and liability
Our ‘General terms of sales and delivery’ apply as a matter of principle.
These have been available to the user since the conclusion of the con-
tract at the latest. Warranty and liability claims in the case of personal
injury and damage to property are excluded if due to one or more of the
following causes:
• inappropriate use of the dehumidifier.
• improper installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of
the dehumidifier.
• operation with defective safety devices or when safety and protective
devices are not attached properly or do not work.
• disregard of the instructions in the operating manual concerning
transport, storage, installation, commissioning, operation and mainte-
nance of the dehumidifier.
• unauthorised structural modifications.
• unauthorised changing of the technical implementation.
• inadequate monitoring of components that are subject to wear.
• repairs that have been carried out improperly.
• catastrophic events beyond human control and acts of nature.
Organisational measuresn
• The user must provide the necessary personal protective equipment.
• All installed safety devices are to be checked regularly.
Protective devices
• All safety devices must be properly attached and fully functional be-
fore each start-up of the dehumidifier.
• Protective devices may only be removed:
- after stopping the machine and
- securing it against being switched on again.
- If delivered in parts, the safety devices are to be properly attached by
the user.
Informal safety precautions
• The operating manual must always be kept at the place of use of
the dehumidifier.
• In addition to the operating manual, the generally applicable and
local regulations for the prevention of accidents and for environ-
mental protection must be observed.
• All safety and danger notices on the dehumidifier must be main-
tained in a legible condition.
Training of personnel
• Only trained and instructed personnel may work on the dehumi-
difier.
• The responsibilities of the personnel for installation, commissio-
ning, operation, maintenance and repair must be clearly defined.
Dehumidifier controller
• Only instructed personnel are permitted to operate the controller.
Danger due to electrical energy
• Work on the electricity supply may only be carried out by a quali-
fied electrician.
