IRIS Starter kit - Test program IRIS-Starter kit-Test programl-1a IRIS Starter kit – Test program The IRIS Starter kit comes preprogrammed with a test setup. This makes it easy to test some of the functions of the IRIS unit. It is possible to generate events by pushing the buttons connected to the inputs and sending messages on the serial interface. The events triggers actions and the result of the actions can be seen on the diodes connected to the output and as messages on the serial interface.
IRIS Starter kit - Test program IRIS-Starter kit-Test programl-1a I/O event An I/O event is trigged when one, or more, of the inputs, the outputs and/or the flags match a predefined bit pattern. Input 1-5 is digital in this setup • Input 1 goes high • Send a message to the other unit to set Output 1 high • Input 2 goes high • Send Message number 1 to the other unit.
IRIS Starter kit - Test program IRIS-Starter kit-Test programl-1a Counter event A counter event is trigged when a counter reaches a predefined value. • Counter 1 = 5 • Set Output 3 high • Send Message 5 to the other unit. • Set Counter 1 = 0 Timer event A timer event is trigged when a timer reaches a predefined value.
