ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:

1. From the M

AIN MENU screen, select the KEY MANAGEMENT option by press-

ing number <7> on the keypad.

2. From the KEY MANAGEMENT screen, select the CHANGE PASSWORD FOR

USER1 OPTION by pressing number <3> on the keypad.

3. From the K

EY MANAGEMENT screen, select the CHANGE PASSWORD FOR

USER2 option by pressing number <4> on the keypad.

ESCRIPTION:

The C

HANGE PASSWORD FOR USER1 AND USER2 options are only available if the

keypad (SPED) is a VEPP (VISA® compliant Encrypting PIN Pad).

For the VEPP, dual control passwords are required when entering Key Manage-

ment. A prompt will be displayed requiring dual password inputs whenever the

Key Management menu item is selected.

When this dialog is displayed, menu item 1 is automatically selected. When the

password for User 1 is entered successfully, menu item 2 will automatically be

selected. If the password for User 2 is entered successfully, the Key Manage-

ment menu is displayed.

When initially installed, The VEPP contains the default password ‘000000’ (six

zero’s). This password MUST be changed by the users after it is entered the first

time.
