MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
ENTER KEY B
DESCRIPTION:
Based on 912 settings, the PIN can be optional encrypted using either the A-
Master PIN key or a stored COMM or MAC key. The COMM or MAC key is
stored based on the Encryption Identifier in the 912 Encryption Key (VII) com-
mand. The applicable Encrypton Identifiers are based on the type of Encryption
PIN Pad (EPP - “SPED”) as documented below.
VISA®-compliant EPP:
“2 Decrypt new COMM key with current A-Master key.
Non-VISA® EPP:
“1 Decrypt new Master key with current A-Master key.
“2 Decrypt new COMM key with current A-Master key.
“3 Decrypt new COMM key with current B key.
“4 Use Power-up COMM key as current B key.
“5 Decrypt MAC key with current A-Master key.
“6 decrypt MAC key with current B key.
“7 Use Power-up COMM key as current MAC key.
 To enter the B key, follow the procedures used for entering A key.

1. From the M
AIN MENU screen, select the KEY MANAGEMENT option by press-
ing number <7> on the keypad.
2. From the KEY MANAGEMENT screen, select the ENTER KEY B option by
pressing number <2> on the keypad.
