ENTER KEY A
ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:
1. From the M
AIN MENU screen, select the KEY MANAGEMENT option by press-
ing number <7> on the keypad.
2. From the KEY MANAGEMENT screen, select the ENTER KEY A option by
pressing number <1> on the keypad.

ESCRIPTION:
The ENTER KEY A option is used as the Master PIN key. A new encrypted PIN key
can be downloaded from the host computer using this key.
 Press <1> on the keypad. A DES key input box (max length - 32) will be dis-
played for a user to enter the Part 1 and Part 2 of the PIN Master key. Also,
four (4) function keys (F5 - F8) and an on-screen keypad are displayed. The
on-screen keypad corresponds to the keypad on the unit.
Once the new PIN key is loaded, the A key is no longer used. Any new PIN key
downloaded from the host will be encrypted using the current PIN working key or
optionally the COMM key (reference “Enter B Key” description for details).
The PIN Master key is made up of hexadecimal characters ( numbers 0 - 9 and the
letters A, B, C, D, E, F). To enter the PIN Master key:
