HOST COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL SETTINGS (TCPIP)
ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:
1. From the M
AIN MENU screen, select the TERMINAL CONFIGURATION option
by pressing number <6> on the keypad.
2. From the TERMINAL CONFIGURATION screen, select the COMMUNICATIONS
option by pressing number <8> on the keypad.
3. From the C
OMMUNICATIONS screen, select the HOST COMMUNICATION PRO-
TOCOL SETTINGS option by pressing number <3> on the keypad.
4. Press number <0> to toggle between TCPIP and SNA.

ESCRIPTION:
The H
OST COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL SETTINGS function allows user to select
(toggle) TCP/IP or SNA communications protocol.
When the TCP/IP protocol is selected, the following parameters can be speci-
fied:
1. MESSAGE FORMAT. This function used to specify the message format
between the ATM and the host. The options are:
 Length (default). This format comprises a 2-byte length field (network
byte order followed by data).
