COMMUNICATIONS
ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:
1. From the M
AIN MENU screen, select the TERMINAL CONFIGURATION option
by pressing number <6> on the keypad.
2. From the TERMINAL CONFIGURATION screen, select the COMMUNICATIONS
option by pressing number <8> on the keypad.

ESCRIPTION:
The C
OMMUNICATIONS option allows the terminal operator to perform the follow-
ing functions:
1. GENERAL SETTINGS. This function allows user to enable/disable MACing.
2. E
THERNET SETTINGS. This function allows user to specify the terminals IP
settings.
3. H
OST COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL SETTINGS. This function allows user to
specify whether the TCP/IP or SNA protocol will be used for host
communications.
4. E
ICON CARD SETTINGS. This function allows user to configure the Eicon
card when the SNA protocol is selected.
