PURGE
FACTORY DEFAULT: N/A
ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select DIAGNOSTICS from the MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
screen
2. Select the PURGE option.
DESCRIPTION:
When the PURGE option is selected, a PURGE command is sent
to the dispenser, instructing it to exercise its note transport sys-
tem. No notes will be dispensed from the cassettes, but this action
should remove any notes that may be present in the transport path
of the dispensing mechanism. The return code for a successful
PURGE depends upon the model of the Cash Dispenser:
9700, 9705, 9710
The Return Code for a successful purge is ‘20 20 20’. If any code
other than ‘20 20 20’ is displayed, contact your service provider for
assistance. Press the cancel key to return to the DIAGNOSTICS
main menu.

The Return Code for a successful purge is ‘0’. If any code other
than ‘0’ is displayed, contact your service provider for assistance.
Press the cancel key to return to the DIAGNOSTICS main menu.

RROR CONDITIONS:
The Return Code received as a result of initiating a PURGE com-
mand may indicate an error condition in the dispensing mecha-
nism.
