FUNCTION: STATUS MONITORING

FACTORY DEFAULT: DISABLED

ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:

1.) Select TERMINAL CONFIGURATION from the

MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS menu.

2.) Select SET TERMINAL PARAMETERS.

3.) Choose MORE.

4.) Select ATM MONITORING.

5.) Select Status monitoring.

ESCRIPTION:

Status monitoring is a feature that is available with selected pro-

cessor software. When enabled the terminal will send operational

status information to the processor during certain transactions with

the processor. The status information is sent in a data field that is

part of any of the following messages sent to the processor:

1.) A Transaction Request Message

2.) Configuration Table Download Request Message (Comms Key

Download)

3.) Host Totals Download Request Message

4.) Reversal Request Message.

Turn this feature on by selecting the ENABLE option on this screen.

Select DISABLE to inhibit the operation of the STATUS MONITOR-

ING feature.

There are no error conditions directly associated with this function.
