Repeated beeping during opening indicates that the battery is low and should be replaced. Triton recommends
replacing of the battery at least twice annually. e battery box is located on the inside of the vault/cabinet door
for straight deadbolt-style locks. Batteries for the swing bolt-style lock are behind the dial.
**Note**
For a straight deadbolt locks, if the lock will not operate (i.e. repeated beeping or no beeping) while the door is
closed and locked, the battery must be energized from the two external terminals on the front of the push-but-
ton panel. Battery contact must be maintained continuously via the external terminals to energize and open the
electronic lock. To energize the lock, connect a 9-volt alkaline battery on the external terminal points. While
maintaining contact, enter a valid combination and turn the dial clockwise to open the lock.
