D
ESCRIPTION:
Each Note Cassette contains on board memory that enables it to store it’s
own identification code. This option allows you to inject a new ID into a
Note Cassette. This option will prompt you to insert the cassette you want
to use into the top feed channel, and will then provide options for injecting
a designation of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, or ‘D’ into the cassette in this position. When
the ID has successfully been injected, the word DONE will appear. If the
operation fails, an error message will be displayed.
The CASSETTE ID has no direct correlation to the physical position of the
cassette within the unit, although in most instances the cassette identified
as ‘A’ will be placed in the top position, ‘B’ in the second, ‘C’ in the third,
and ‘D’ in the fourth position. This is not a requirement, however, since the
ID code allows the dispensing mechanism (and the Cash Dispenser control
system) to locate the cassette no matter which slot it is in.
This function will automatically perform an UNLOCK operation so that
the cassettes can be rearranged as needed to facilitate the operation. At
the conclusion of the procedure, after each cassette has been placed in its
appropriate location, use the LOCK/UNLOCK function to LOCK the cas-
settes into place.
E
RROR CONDITIONS:
If the operation fails, an error message will be displayed.
