ESCRIPTION:
The COMMUNICATION HEADER is an optional feature that is only ap-
plicable to certain processors. When a specified processor requires the use
of the COMMUNICATIONS HEADER it must be ENABLED and have the
correct data in the header data field. The COMMUNICATION HEADER
data field consists of alphanumeric characters.
To enter a digit 0-9, press the key that has that digit. To enter a letter, first
press the <BLUE> key, then press the key that has the letter you want on
it. The first press of the key will display the first character above the num-
ber. Subsequent presses will display the characters in sequence. When
the character you want is displayed, press the <RIGHT ARROW> key to
‘lock in’ the character. If your next character is a letter, you must press the
<BLUE> key again.

RROR CONDITIONS:
Enabling the COMMUNICATION HEADER when using a processor that
doesn’t use this feature will prevent any type of transaction from completing.
Disabling or having incorrect data in the COMMUNICATION HEADER
data field (if the feature is required) will also prevent any type of transaction
from processing.
