ESCRIPTION:
If special circumstances require a nonstandard modem configuration, a
Hayes-compatible setup string can be sent to the modem when it is initial-
ized. Each string is described below:
1.) Initialize String: This string is sent to the modem upon initialization of
the terminal. This string is saved in the modems non-volatile memory
and is reassigned to the modem every time the modem is reset.
2.) Pre-Host String: This string is sent to the modem just before dialing
the Host. This string will override any settings in the Initialize String
only for the duration of the call to the Host.
3.) Post-Host String: This string is sent to the modem after the terminal
disconnects from the Host or Triton Connect. The string will override
any setting in the Initialize String only for the duration between the
terminal calling out.
4.) Triton Connect String: The string is sent to the modem just before
the terminal dials the Triton Connect Host. This string will override
any settings in the Initialize String only for the duration of the terminal
originated Triton Connect Call.
E
RROR CONDITIONS:
Setting this value incorrectly will cause communication failure due to im-
