1. Select TERMINAL CONFIGU-
RATION from the MANAGE-
MENT FUNCTIONS menu.
2. Select SET TERMINAL PA-
RAMETERS.
3. Select KEY MANAGEMENT.
4. Choose the ENTER MAC WORKING KEY option.
5. Select YES at the warning screen.

ESCRIPTION:
The MAC WORKING KEY is used to verify messages to and from the
terminal.
The MAC WORKING KEY requires
the entry of a 16-character key,
consisting of some combination of
the digits 0-9 and the Hexadecimal
(“Hex”) characters A-F. Your pro-
cessor must provide you with the
MAC WORKING KEY.
When entering this key, an asterisk
(‘*’) is displayed in place of the
actual character. Since it is not
possible to view the key while it is entered, the key must entered in twice
to make sure it was entered properly.
Follow these steps to enter the MAC WORKING KEY:
1. If you have not already done so, select the ENTER MAC WORKING
KEY option at the KEY MANAGEMENT main menu. At the warning
message, select YES to continue.
2. Enter the 16-character KEY. To enter a digit 0-9, simply press the key
that has the desired digit. To enter a Hex character (A through F), first
press and hold down the <BLUE> key (<CTRL> key on some model
ATMs). While holding down the <BLUE> key, press the numbered
