When entering the key, an asterisk (‘*’) is displayed in place of each char-
acter. Since you cannot view the key while it is entered, you must enter the
key twice to make sure it was entered properly.
Follow these steps to enter the MAC MASTER KEY:
1. If you have not already done so,
select the ENTER MAC MAS-
TER KEY option at the KEY
MANAGEMENT main menu.
At the warning message, select
YES to continue.
2. Select the LEFT KEY BLOCK
option to display the applicable
data entry screen.
3. Enter the applicable 16-char-
acter KEY. To enter a digit
0-9, simply press the key that
has the desired digit. To enter
a Hex character (A through F),
first press and hold down the
<BLUE> key (<CTRL> key
on some model ATMs). While
holding down the <BLUE>
key, press the numbered key
(1-6) that corresponds to the
character you want to enter
(1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=E,
6=F). Release the <BLUE>
key.
Repeat for each character
in the KEY. If you make a
mistake, press <CHANGE>
(or <CLEAR>) key to clear
the entry and start over. Press
<OK> (or <ENTER>) to accept
the entry.
4. A prompt will appear on the
data entry screen, directing
you to enter the KEY a second time. Enter the KEY again, using the
instructions in Step 3.
