FUNCTION: ENABLE/DISABLE SUR-
CHARGE
FACTORY DEFAULT: DISABLED
ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS:
1.) Select TERMINAL CONFIGU-
RATION from the MANAGE-
MENT FUNCTIONS menu.
2.) Select SET TERMINAL PA-
RAMETERS.
3.) Choose the SURCHARGE MODE option.
4.) Select ENABLE or DISABLE, as appropriate.

ESCRIPTION:
Some networks allow a surcharge, or terminal fee, to be imposed on with-
drawal transactions. If surcharges are in use on your network, you are
required to notify the customer of an additional fee before the transaction
is processed. He or she must be given a chance to cancel the transaction.
Setting the SURCHARGE MODE to ENABLED will cause a surcharge
notification screen to be displayed at some point prior to final processing of
the transaction. The customer is given the choice of canceling the transac-
tion at no charge or of continuing.
If your network does not allow surcharges, select the DISABLE option to
turn off presentation of the surcharge notification message.
