Whyisthebatterynotcharging?
 Makesurebothbatterylockinglatchesarecorrectlypositioned.

 MakesuretheACadapterisproperlyconnected .

 Makesurethebatteryisnottoohotortoocold.

 Makesurethebatteryisinstalledcorrectly.

 Makesurethebatteryterminalsareclean.

 Thetabletcomputermayhavecomefr omanoutdoorenvironme ntwhichexceedsthe
chargingambienttemperature.Waitawhileforthebatterypacktoreachthe
appropriateroomtemperature,anditwillstartcharging.
Whywon'tthetabletcomputerstartup?
Checkthatthebatterylockisengaged(see
Removing/swappingthebattery,page18).
Ifthisdoesnotresolvetheissue,performthesesteps:
1. Removethebattery.

2. Disconnecttheexternalpowersource.

3. Re‐installthebattery.

4. Connecttheexternalpowersource.

5. Trytostartthetabletcomputeragain.
Whyisthescreenblank?
 Thetabletcomputermaybein Sleepmode.PressthePowerbuttontowakeupthedisplay.

 The brigh tness level may be too low.  Increase brightness (see
Power managemen t and
power‐savingtips,page18
).
Whydidthescreensuddenlygoblankduringuse,andthePowerLED
turnedoff?
 MakesuretheACadapterisproperlyconnected .

 Thebatterymaybedepleted.Replaceorchargethebattery.
HowdoItokeepmybatteryfromfailingduringajob?
Considercarryingafullychargedsparebatteryinthefield.Thedeviceisdesignedsothat
batteryreplacementcanbeeasilydone(see
