Light intensity (lux) is tested on a horizontal worktop using the
OL 254. The diagram below shows the results. Worktop size is
700 x 1500 mm, height of light unit above worktop is
1000 mm. The lux (lx) is the SI unit of illuminance and luminous
emittance measuring luminous power per area.
Lighting is an essential part of workstation ergonomics, as well designed
lighting aids industrial safety, comfort and productivity. Particular applications
need both sidelights and overlight. This system provides the best possible
illumination. Quick, flicker-free electronic light ignition and vibrationless
operation. Light output unaffected by fluctuations in voltage. Suitable for
use with moving machinery giving asymmetric lighting with minimal shadow.
(Flicker free tubes ensure that rotating objects will not appear to be stationery,
a common optical effect when standard fluorescent tubes are used.)
Silver grey anodized aluminium frame with a matte anti-dazzle screen.
Angle continuously adjustable. With own switch and 3 m cable. The lighting
units are isolated from the workbench.
