The task tray utility icon will not be available until your computer is connected to the USB to HD TV adapter. The general settings allow you to setup your video and audio configuration of your computer display and check for driver/ and utility updates.

Screen Resolution – Allows you to select the screen resolution of the HD monitor or TV. Please note that this option is not available in Mirror Mode as the resolution is dependent on the settings of the primary display. The available resolution options will be dependent on the capabilities of your HD monitor or TV.

When attaching a display that the software has not seen before, the display will default to being extended to the right of the primary display.
