5.5. Fibre-optic cable
This function allows all Ethernet-compatible devices to be tested in the end point mode.
NOTE:
This test function can be used only at an Ethernet transfer
rate of 1000 Mbit/s.
1. Select the menu "Ports" "Optical".
2. Connect a fibre-optic cable to the Ethernet-compatible device to be tested.
3. Connect the free end of the cable path to the network port for fibre-optic
conductors on the LanXPLORER.
4. Select Detect to start recognition of the Ethernet-compatible device.
