Managing ServerProtect with Trend
Micro Control Manager™
Trend Micro Control Manager (TMCM) delivers powerful centralized management
of antivirus and content security solutions deployed throughout the network. With
single point-of-contact administration, monitoring, and deployment, corporations can
more effectively manage their antivirus and content security strategies
enterprise-wide.
Because it is Web-based, Control Manager can be accessed from any machine that
runs Microsoft™ Internet Explorer. Unlike the Management Console, The Control
Manager Web-console allows you to manage several Information Servers at the same
time giving you greater control and flexibility over your antivirus strategy.
A ServerProtect Information Server can only manage the Normal Servers that are
registered with it. Control Manager, on the other hand, can control groups of
Information Servers, and consequently the Normal Servers they manage. Thereby
simplifying the management of large networks.
