Note: You can only upgrade Normal Servers from the Management Console.
To upgrade a Normal Server from the Management Console:
1. Install the full ServerProtect package on your network.
2. Open the Management Console.
3. Do one of the following:
For NT Normal Servers
• In the domain browser tree right-click a ServerProtect domain, and then select
Upgrade from SPNT 4.x to 5.x.
• Click a ServerProtect domain in the domain browser tree, and then click
Domain > Upgrade from SPNT 4.x to 5.x on the main menu.
For NetWare Normal Servers
• In the domain browser tree right-click a ServerProtect domain, and then select
one of the two SPNW install options
•Click Domain, and then select one of the two SPNW install options
• Complete the steps for selecting a source server for the installation / upgrade
described in the section Installing a Normal Server from the Management
Console on page 2-23.
Note: For NetWare Normal Servers, the installation options are also used for upgrades.
The Upgrade Old ServerProtect Server window appears.
