6 System Settings
This section describes settings that are applicable to the overall operation of the EnRoute500,
but are not related directly to a particular interface.
6.1 User Passwords
The passwords for the ‘admin’ and ‘monitor’ users can be set using the ‘password.admin’ and
‘password.monitor’ parameters in the ‘sys’ interface. By default, both user accounts have the
password ‘mesh’. The passwords will not be displayed when using the ‘get’ command with
these parameters. Note that the ‘monitor’ account password can only be changed by an
‘admin’ user.
The example below shows how to set the ‘admin’ password using the CLI.
> use sys
sys> set password.admin=er500
The passwords can be changed via the web interface using the “Passwords” tab on the
“System Parameters” page. The passwords can be changed independently – if only one
password is modified, the other password will remain unchanged.
