Replacing engine oil
Start the engine for several minutes to increase the temperature of the engine oil and then stop engine.
• Remove front Generator panel
• Place oil pan out in front of the generator.
• Lower Oil Drain hose and loosen oil drain plug using 10mm allan wrench.
• Inspect oil drain screw and gasket for damaged. Replace if necessary.
Tighten oil drain screw and gasket. Inspect for oil leakage!
• Fill with new engine oil and run engine for 2min. Shut down and recheck oil level.
Add if needed. Oil level should between level A (low) and B (full).
OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT
The oil lter must be replaced when the engine is cooled. The replacement cycle should be according to the
maintenance cycle. Steps for replacement:
Use the included oil lter spanner/wrench to remove old oil lter.
• Coat oil lter gasket surface with a thin layer of oil to seat the new oil lter.
Tighten the new oil lter.
• Manually run the genset for 3 minutes then shutdown. Check to see if there are any oil leaks. Then check the
oil level of the oil pan and ll oil to the specied oil level.
• Use oil lter spanner to x the oil lter, the torque is between 15N.M-20N.M. When you remove the lter
cartridge, the oil level will drop. Be sure to check for oil spills.
Direction A: Tighten Direction B: Loosen
