Short description
The sensor of the module receives the infrared light reflected by
the object and activates the output. Due to the infrared light touch
free measuring is made possible.
Mounting
The module shall be mounted under the model railway table
together with the sensor using the prepared holes (Figure 2). The
IR-Diode and the sensor must be aligned with the upper edge and
shall not be covered. Eventually it may be necessary to protect the
sensors by means of insulating tape or shrinkable tube against
undesired reflections from foreign light sources.
Wiring
The module shall be installed according to the wiring diagram
(Figure 1). The module may be connected to various devices e.g.
LEDs or the control input of other circuits, such as Sound player
(TM-76875), Light signal decoder (74433), Railroad crossing
control unit (72427) etc.
Adjustment
The sensing distance can be adjusted by means of the
potentiometer "Adjust distance". Choose a setting at which the
output is not permanently active yet!
