Pre-Installation Instructions:
Due to the manufacturing process with recycled rubber materials, there may be a rubber odor from the
tiles. The odor is normal and will lessen when allowed to air out. To help reduce the odor, prior to
installation remove all tile pieces from the box and allow to air out in a well air circulated low traffic area
for 24-48 hours. Garages and Covered patios are ideal places for this process. Do not use any other
products on the tiles to attempt to mask the odor.
Tools Required:
Tape measure
Broom/Vacuum
Rubber mallet
Right angle straight edge
Utility knife with heavy duty blade
Chalk Marker or Pencil
Installation:
The tiles can be installed over any existing residential surface type, but for best results and tile fitment it
is recommended to install over surfaces that are securely attached to the building, hard, smooth, level,
and dry like concrete or vinyl flooring. Tiles can be installed over a low pile carpet but it is not
recommended, as tiles will not hold together as well.
1. Allow tiles to air out in a well air circulated area for 24-48 hours prior to installation.
2. Measure the total area that the tiles will be install in, and make sure that you have the
total required number of tiles to cover the entire desired area. (1 box covers 14.32 sq ft.
when corners and edges are included)
3. Sweep or vacuum the area to ensure that the area is clean and there is no debris or
other objects that will impede the tiles laying flat on the floor.
