1. Choose ball diameter based on the Coupler rating.

2. The weight rating of the ball should match or exceed the trailer rating.

3. Install correct Hitch Ball so that the diameter matches the Coupler size:

• The shank should be long enough to exceed the Ball Mount bar thickness and a tightened nut by 2-1/2 threads.

• The diameter of the shank should match the tongue hole diameter.

4. Torque nut with locking washer to 250 ft lbs.
