Filter

This parameter lets you adjust the mic model’s filter type. Each mic model has three filter types, even

if the original microphone has fewer or no filter options. The filter types vary according to those supplied

with the original mic. Each mic

’s original filter type is highlighted in green. The OFF setting disengages

the filter.

Microphones typically include a high-pass filter to reduce unwanted low-frequency rumble or proximity

effect. On some models, a pad setting is included among the available filters because the pad has a

characteristic sound that is also part of our modeling. Neither the mic sensitivity nor output level is

affected by the pad.

NOTE: The automation control list displays the FILTER settings as MIC1 FILTER and MIC2 FILTER.
